Large buoys, (weighing 8,000 lbs each; 9.5 ft diameter) were fabricated at the shop, painted and then moved to Sussex where they were loaded on the train for shipment to British Columbia. Other navigational aids have been shipped to Hay River, Northwest Territories, the ports of Saint John, New Brunswick and St. John's Newfoundland.
